More than 1,100 musicians and cultural workers have come together to call for a boycott of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The protest is in response to the inclusion of Israel in the competition.
Among the prominent figures supporting the boycott are Irish rap group Kneecap, along with well-known artists such as Paloma Faith, Massive Attack, and Paul Weller. They argue that the event should not take place in a country that they claim violates human rights.
The call to action highlights growing tensions around international cultural events and the role they play in global political discourse. The artists’ collective stance seeks to pressure Eurovision organisers to reconsider their decision to include Israel, citing concerns over its political actions.
This movement reflects a broader trend of artists using their platforms to speak out on political issues, aiming to influence public opinion and promote social change.
