An elderly woman in her 80s has died following a collision with a bus in Dublin. The incident occurred on Main Street in Blackrock shortly before 1.10pm, resulting in serious injuries to the pedestrian.
After the accident, the woman was immediately transported to St Vincent’s University Hospital. Despite receiving intensive medical care, she succumbed to her injuries nine days later.
The tragic event has prompted discussions about pedestrian safety in urban areas, highlighting the need for ongoing vigilance and improved safety measures.
