The MetroLink project, a major public transport initiative in Ireland, remains on schedule despite recent changes in its leadership. Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has confirmed that the departure of Programme Director Seán Sweeney will not impede the project’s timeline.
Speaking on the matter, TII CEO Lorcan O’Connor emphasized that the procurement and construction phases of MetroLink are proceeding as planned. He reassured stakeholders that the transition in leadership would be managed smoothly, and there are no anticipated delays.
MetroLink is a significant infrastructure undertaking aimed at enhancing Dublin’s public transport network. The project has been under close scrutiny due to its scale and impact on the region’s connectivity and economic growth. TII’s assurance aims to maintain confidence in its timely completion.
With the project’s continuity confirmed, attention now turns to the next phases of development, as TII continues its commitment to delivering this transformative transport solution.
