Ukraine to Reopen Key Oil Pipeline to Hungary and Slovakia by April End

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced plans to reopen a vital oil pipeline to Hungary and Slovakia by the end of April. The pipeline, which carries Russian oil through Ukraine, had been damaged during recent military attacks by Moscow.

The closure of this pipeline has significantly impacted the energy supply to Hungary and Slovakia, both of which rely heavily on Russian oil transiting through Ukraine. Repair efforts have been underway since the pipeline was compromised, with Ukrainian officials prioritizing its restoration to stabilize regional energy distribution.

The reopening is expected to alleviate energy concerns in Hungary and Slovakia, ensuring a steady flow of oil and aiding in regional economic stability. President Zelensky emphasized the importance of the pipeline in maintaining energy security and economic resilience amid ongoing tensions.

As efforts to repair the pipeline progress, the Ukrainian government remains committed to safeguarding its energy infrastructure from further disruptions.
