Employees of the outsourcing company Covalen gathered outside Meta’s Dublin headquarters today to voice their grievances. The protest was organised by members of the Communications Workers’ Union (CWU), highlighting ongoing workplace issues.
The demonstration saw Covalen workers demanding better working conditions and increased transparency from their employer. As Meta relies on Covalen for outsourced services, the protest aimed to draw attention to their concerns at a prominent location.
Union representatives stated that the demonstration was necessary to push for meaningful dialogue with Covalen management. Workers emphasized the importance of addressing their issues to ensure fair treatment and job satisfaction.
Although the protest caused a temporary disruption, it underscored the critical role of outsourcing firms in supporting tech giants like Meta, and the need for these companies to address employment concerns effectively.
