Irish Garda Joins Volunteer Effort Delivering Ambulances to Uganda

An initiative involving over 20 volunteers, including a Garda sergeant from the midlands, is bringing vital support to healthcare in Uganda. The group is on a mission to deliver ambulances from Ireland to hospices in the East African nation, where they will assist in providing care for critically ill and dying patients.

This humanitarian effort is seen as a significant step in improving medical transport and emergency response capabilities in Ugandan communities. The ambulances are expected to be a lifeline for many, offering timely medical intervention and transport to those in desperate need.

The involvement of Irish volunteers underscores a commitment to global solidarity and support for under-resourced regions. The initiative highlights the impact that international cooperation can have on local healthcare infrastructure.

As these ambulances make their way to Uganda, they carry not only medical equipment but also a message of hope and care from Ireland.
