Minister for Enterprise Peter Burke has come out in support of the expansion of data centres across Ireland, describing them as a strategic opportunity that can bolster the country’s economic landscape. His remarks come amid ongoing debates about the environmental impact of such facilities.
Burke emphasised that data centres play a pivotal role in Ireland’s digital infrastructure, attracting international investment and supporting technology-driven sectors.
