Ambulance Workers Approve New Pay Agreement

Ambulance workers across Ireland have voted in favour of a new pay proposal, bringing an end to ongoing negotiations over their salaries. Members of the SIPTU and Unite unions have accepted a Labour Court recommendation aimed at resolving the dispute.

The agreement follows extensive discussions and reflects the workers’ demands for fairer compensation. The Labour Court’s involvement was pivotal in mediating the conflict, which had been a point of contention between the workers and their employers.

Both unions have expressed satisfaction with the outcome, noting that the new terms represent a significant step forward for their members. This resolution is expected to enhance working conditions and provide a framework for future negotiations.

The acceptance of these proposals marks a positive development for the National Ambulance Service, ensuring continued operations without disruptions due to industrial action.
