Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow high temperature warning affecting nine counties, with forecasts indicating that the mercury could soar to 29 degrees Celsius. This warning highlights the potential for exceptionally warm conditions, which are expected to impact parts of the country today.
The counties under the warning include areas that are likely to experience the highest temperatures, prompting advice for residents to take precautions against the heat. Such conditions warrant attention to hydration and sun protection throughout the day.
While the elevated temperatures may attract people outdoors, health officials urge caution to avoid heat-related illnesses. Vulnerable groups, including the elderly and very young, are particularly advised to remain in cooler environments where possible.
This weather pattern underscores the importance of staying informed through official channels as conditions develop. Further updates are anticipated as the situation progresses.
