The death toll from the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela in late June has risen to over 6,000, according to the latest figures released by the country’s authorities.
Jorge Rodríguez, the Chief of Venezuela’s National Assembly, confirmed that 6,125 people have perished due to the twin seismic events that have shocked the nation. The earthquakes have left a trail of destruction, severely impacting infrastructure and communities across affected regions.
