The beloved Irish TV show Mrs Brown’s Boys will not air its anticipated Christmas and New Year’s specials this year. Brendan O’Carroll, the creator and star of the series, has announced the cancellation due to an unexpected medical issue.
The decision to cancel the specials has come as a disappointment to fans who eagerly await the festive episodes. O’Carroll, known for his role as the irreverent matriarch Agnes Brown, has been at the helm of the show since its inception.
Details about the medical issue have not been disclosed, but O’Carroll has expressed regret over the decision. The show has been a staple of holiday programming, bringing laughter to viewers during the festive season.
While the specials will not air this year, fans are hopeful for the show’s return in the future. The production team has not yet announced any rescheduling or alternative programming.
