Taoiseach Commends David Trimble’s Role in Good Friday Agreement

Taoiseach Micheál Martin has paid tribute to the former Ulster Unionist Party leader, David Trimble, acknowledging his significant role in the peace process that culminated in the Good Friday Agreement.

Speaking on the anniversary of the agreement, Martin highlighted Trimble’s personal courage and political determination during the critical negotiations. Trimble, who played a pivotal role in bridging divides, is credited with helping to establish lasting peace in Northern Ireland.
